Express Thoughts in Writing
Computer Journal

Level D
 

Use the computer to keep an electronic journal.  Write at least 1 - 2 sentences each day.  Follow the instructions below: 

1- Go to a word processing program on the computer. 

2-  Start a new document for your first journal entry. 

  • Go to File-New Document
  • Write your sentences.
3-  Spell check and edit your sentences 
  • Use the revising checklist
4- Save your sentences: 
  • Put in your disk in the A drive
  • Go to Save As  ( 3 1/2" Floppy)
  • Name your document - "Journal"
  • Click on Save
5- Print out your document 

6- To add to your journal file, go to MS Word and "Open" your document by: 

  • Go to open
  • Go to 3 ½ " floppy
  • Click on "Journal"
  • Click on open and write sentences
