Voter Education, Registration, and Action 2004 Campaign (VERA 04)

A non-partisan effort aimed at adult literacy learners and program staff in the New England states. Its goal is to educate adult learners about voting and topical electoral issues, and mobilize them to vote in the 2004 elections. VERA is sponsored by the New England Literacy Resource Center (NELRC) at World Education.

The Election 2004 project includes a series of Web-based learning activities focusing on the upcoming presidential election. Project goals include providing learning activities about the presidential election and the election process, a guided experience in online learning, and support to "Get out the Vote".  Each main topic includes a lesson, activities and enrichment. There are a total of six modules with eighteen learning/activities units. All project materials are available as MS Word documents.
