Sandbox Memories
by Marci Plumb
I remember a favorite tree from my childhood, where I happily played
in our sandbox that was under it, for many, many happy hours.
I went there to enjoy many fun filled hours of playing with friends,
or with my sister. And yes often, I would just go out there and play very
happily by myself.
I often think of this place in the summertime, as life is supposed
to be much more fun and relaxed in the summertime. My Mother used to be
able to "dress me up," and then let me go out to play in the sandbox, because
I had a knack for staying "clean," no matter how hard, or long I played
in that sandbox.
