The essay tutorial is a great way to practice writing an essay. It takes the student through the writing process in a step by step procedure. Each part of writing an essay is explored in an interactive online exercise. It is a little long, but well worth the time.

Directions:
 

1. Go to the Essay Writing Tutorial.
 
  
2. Read the instructions on how to use this site and then click on Start Writing Now.
 
3. Complete the essay tutorial.
 
4.  Follow instructions for saving the essay to a disk.
 
5. Review your essay with your teacher. Revise, edit, and re-save your essay. Put your essay in your portfolio.
